Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
When the sun is folded up, 1 And when the stars fall down. 2 And when the mountains are driven. 3 when the pregnant camels are neglected, 4 and when all beasts are gathered together, 5 when the seas shall be set boiling, 6 when the souls are coupled (to their body), 7 When the female (infant), buried alive, is questioned - 8 For what sin she was killed, 9 And when the pages are made public 10 And when the sky is torn away, 11 And when Hell-fire shall be kindled to fierce ablaze. 12 And when Paradise shall be brought near, 13 then shall each person know what he has brought along. 14 Oh, but I call to witness the planets, 15 Those that run [their courses] and disappear - 16 And the close of night, 17 by the dawn sighing, 18 that the Quran is the word of the honorable angelic, mighty Messenger 19 one mighty and held in honour with the Lord of the Throne; 20 With authority there, (and) faithful to his trust. 21 Your companion is not mad. 22 he truly beheld him [the angel] on the clear horizon. 23 And he is not avid of the Unseen. 24 Nor is this the word of an outcast devil. 25 So where are you going? 26 It is nothing but Good Counsel for everyone in the world, 27 So let those who want, choose the right guidance 28 But you cannot will it unless God, the Lord of the Universe, so wills it [to show you that way]. 29
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
