Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
(On the day) when the sun is made to cease shining, 1 And when the stars fall down. 2 And when the mountains shall be made to pass away, 3 when ten-month pregnant camels are left untended, 4 And when the wild animals are made to go forth, 5 when the seas shall be set boiling, 6 And when the souls are paired. 7 When the female (infant), buried alive, is questioned - 8 for what crime she had been slain, 9 And when the pages are laid open, 10 When the world on High is unveiled; 11 when Hell shall be set blazing, 12 And when Paradise is brought near, 13 then shall a soul know what it has produced. 14 No indeed; I swear by the alternating stars 15 orbiting, disappearing; 16 And the night when it departs, 17 and the morn as it softly breathes: 18 That this is in truth the word of an honoured messenger, 19 with strength endowed, secure with Him who in almightiness is enthroned 20 Obeyed there [in the heavens] and trustworthy. 21 Your companion is not possessed; 22 he truly beheld him [the angel] on the clear horizon. 23 And Muhammad is not a withholder of [knowledge of] the unseen. 24 The Quran is not the word of condemned satan. 25 So where are you going? 26 This is merely a reminder to all mankind; 27 For him among you who pleases to go straight. 28 But ye shall not will except as Allah wills,- the Cherisher of the Worlds. 29

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
