Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the sky is split, 1 And when the stars become dispersed, 2 when the oceans are gushed forth, 3 and the graves are turned inside out, 4 every soul will see the result of its deeds - those recorded before his death and those which will produce either virtue or evil after his death. 5 O Man! What deceived thee as to thy generous Lord 6 Who created you, then made you complete, then made you symmetrical? 7 In whatsoever form He listed He constructed thee. 8 Not at all – but rather you deny the establishment of Justice. 9 And yet, verily, there are ever-watchful forces over you, 10 Generous and recording, 11 who know all that you do: 12 the virtuous will dwell in bliss, 13 And the Wicked - they will be in the Fire, 14 They will enter it on the Day of Justice. 15 And never therefrom will they be absent. 16 And what do you know – of what sort is the Day of Justice! 17 Again, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! 18 A day when no soul shall possess aught to succour another soul; that day the Command shall belong unto God. 19
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
