Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven is cleft asunder, 1 And when the stars become dispersed, 2 when the seas overflow; 3 And when the graves are turned upside down (and they bring out their contents) 4 everyone shall know all his deeds, both the earlier and the later. 5 O man! What has deceived you about your generous Lord 6 Who created thee, then fashioned, then proportioned thee? 7 Shaping you into any form He pleased? 8 Nay! But ye do reject Right and Judgment! 9 Verify there are for you guardians, 10 noble, recording, 11 who know all that you do: 12 Behold, [in the life to come] the truly virtuous: will indeed be in bliss, 13 And verily the ungodly shall be in a Scorch. 14 Roasted they shall be therein on the Day of Requital. 15 And will not be removed from it. 16 And what could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 17 Again, what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 18 It will be a Day when no human being shall be of the least avail to any other human being, God [alone] will hold command on that Day. 19
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
