The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Prosperous are the believers, 1 Those who humble themselves in their prayers; 2 And those who from everything vain turn away. 3 and who are intent on inner purity; 4 those who safeguard their chastity 5 Except before their mates or those whom their right hands possess, for they surely are not blameable, 6 But whoso craveth beyond that, such are transgressors - 7 And those who are keepers of their trusts and their covenant, 8 to their promise, 9 These are the real gainers, 10 Who will inherit Paradise, and live in it for ever. 11 We created man out of the extract of clay, 12 Then made him a drop of fluid in a secure shelter. 13 Then We created of the drop, a clot (of congealed blood) and We created the clot into bitesize tissue, then We created the bitesize tissue into bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then produced it an other creation. Blessed is Allah, the Best of creators! 14 After that, surely, you will die. 15 Then verily on the Day of Judgment ye shall be raised up. 16 We have created seven paths above you; We have never been unmindful of Our creation. 17 And We sent down out of heaven water in measure and lodged it in the earth; and We are able to take it away. 18 And We brought forth for you thereby gardens of palm trees and grapevines in which for you are abundant fruits and from which you eat. 19 and a tree issuing from the Mount of Sinai that bears oil and seasoning for all to eat. 20 And verily in the cattle for you is a lesson. We give you to drink of that which is in their bellies, and for you in them are advantages many, and of them ye eat. 21 and upon them and on the ships you are carried. 22
