Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ When the heaven shall be cleft, 1 when the stars are scattered, 2 And when the seas are burst forth (got dried up); 3 when the tombs are overthrown, 4 A soul will know what it hath sent before (it) and what left behind. 5 O man! what hath beguiled thee concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, 6 Who created you, then made you complete, then made you symmetrical? 7 Into whatever form He pleased He constituted you. 8 Nay! but you give the lie to the judgment day, 9 And yet, verily, there are ever-watchful forces over you, 10 Noble and recording; 11 Knowing all what you may do. 12 Surely the virtuous shall be in Bliss, 13 But the wicked, indeed they shall be in the Fiery Furnace, 14 They shall enter it on the day of judgment. 15 And they shall by no means be absent from it. 16 And what will make you realize what the day of judgment is? 17 Again, what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? 18 It is a Day whereon no soul shall own aught of power for any soul; and the command on that Day will be Allah's. 19
