Truly, it is the sending of the Lord of the Worlds. 192 Which the trustworthy Ruh [Jibrael (Gabriel)] has brought down; 193 Upon your heart, for you to convey warning. 194 In plain Arabic speech. 195 And verily, it (the Quran, and its revelation to Prophet Muhammad SAW) is (announced) in the Scriptures [i.e. the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)] of former people. 196 Is it not a sign to them that the learned men of the Israelites know it? 197 And even if We had revealed it to one among the foreigners 198 And he had recited it unto them, they would not have believed in it. 199 Even so, We have caused it to enter into the hearts of harmdoers: 200 who will not believe in it, until they see the painful chastisement 201 It will come upon them suddenly when they are not expecting it. 202 Then they will exclaim, "Could we have some respite?" 203 So for Our punishment are they impatient? 204 What thinkest thou? If We give them enjoyment of days for many years, 205 and thereupon that [chastisement] which they were promised befalls them 206 none of their luxuries will be able to save them from the torment? 207 And We destroyed not a city but it had its warners. 208 To remind, and We are never unjust. 209 No evil ones have brought down this (Revelation): 210 Neither would it suit them, nor they can (produce it). 211 Most surely they are far removed from the hearing of it. 212 So do not invoke with Allah another deity and [thus] be among the punished. 213 And warn thy clan, thy nearest kin. 214 And lower thy wing to the Believers who follow thee. 215 Then if they disobey you, say: "I am innocent of what you do." 216 and place thy trust in the Almighty, the Dispenser of Grace, 217 Who watches you when you stand up. 218 and sees your movements among those who prostrate themselves: 219 For it is He Who heareth and knoweth all things. 220 Shall I inform you, (O people!), on whom it is that the evil ones descend? 221 They descend on every great accuser, extreme sinner. (The magicians) 222 They incline their ears, and most of them are liars. 223 Poets are followed by the perverse. 224 Observest thou not, that they wander about every vale. 225 And that they say that which they do not do, 226 Except those who believe, work righteousness, engage much in the remembrance of Allah, and defend themselves only after they are unjustly attacked. And soon will the unjust assailants know what vicissitudes their affairs will take! 227
