Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the sky breaks apart 1 when the stars are scattered, 2 when the seas swarm over, 3 And when the graves are ransacked, 4 then everyone will know what he has sent ahead, and what he has left behind. 5 O MAN! What is it that lures thee away from thy bountiful Sustainer, 6 Who created you, then made you complete, then made you symmetrical? 7 In whatsoever form He listed He constructed thee. 8 Nay! but you give the lie to the judgment day, 9 Yet over you there are watchers, 10 Noble and recording; 11 They know (and understand) all that ye do. 12 Verily the pious shall be in Delight. 13 And indeed the sinners are in hell. 14 They shall enter it on the day of judgment. 15 and then shall never come out of it. 16 And what could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 17 Again, what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 18 A day when no soul shall possess aught to succour another soul; that day the Command shall belong unto God. 19
