Al-Infitaar
Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ WHEN THE SKY is split asunder, 1 And when the stars fall, scattering, 2 the oceans are merged together, 3 and when graves are laid open, 4 Every soul will come to know what it has sent ahead and what it left behind. 5 O man! what hath beguiled thee concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, 6 who created you, fashioned you and proportioned you, 7 and set you in whatever form He pleased? 8 No! But you deny the Recompense. 9 but you should know that there are angelic guards 10 Kiraman (honourable) Katibin writing down (your deeds). 11 who know all that you do: 12 Surely the virtuous shall be in Bliss, 13 And verily, the Fujjar (the wicked, disbelievers, sinners and evil-doers) will be in the blazing Fire (Hell), 14 They will [enter to] burn therein on the Day of Recompense, 15 And thence they shall not be allowed to be absent. 16 And what could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 17 Again, what could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 18 The day on which no soul will have the authority over any other soul; and on that day, the entire command belongs to Allah. 19
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
