Shattering (Al-Infitaar)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven is split asunder, 1 And when the stars have fallen and scattered; 2 when the oceans are gushed forth, 3 and when the graves are laid open: 4 then a soul shall know its works, the former and the latter. 5 O man, what seduced you from your munificent Lord 6 who has created thee, and formed thee in accordance with what thou art meant' to be, and shaped thy nature in just proportions, 7 in whatever form He pleased? 8 Not at all – but rather you deny the establishment of Justice. 9 Lo! there are above you guardians, 10 noble, recording, 11 Who know what you do. 12 the virtuous will dwell in bliss, 13 And indeed, the wicked will be in Hellfire. 14 They will burn in it on the Day of Judgement, 15 and from which they will find no escape. 16 And what will make you realize what the day of judgment is? 17 Again, what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? 18 The day on which no soul will have the authority over any other soul; and on that day, the entire command belongs to Allah. 19

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
