Al-Infitaar
Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ When heaven is split open, 1 When the Stars are scattered; 2 And when the oceans are swept away. 3 when the tombs are overthrown, 4 then a soul shall know its works, the former and the latter. 5 O man, what seduced you from your munificent Lord 6 Who created you then formed your symmetry, then gave you right proportion, 7 in whatever composition He wanted. 8 Nay! But you deny the Recompense (reward for good deeds and punishment for evil deeds). 9 And yet, verily, there are ever-watchful forces over you, 10 Noble and recording; 11 They know whatever you do. 12 Verily the pious shall be in Delight. 13 And indeed, the wicked will be in Hellfire. 14 They will burn in it on the Day of Judgement, 15 And they (Al-Fujjar) will not be absent therefrom (i.e. will not go out from the Hell). 16 How can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 17 Again, what could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 18 It is the Day when no soul can do a thing for another soul. That Day, the command belongs to Allah. 19
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
