Al-Infitaar
Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ When the sky is cleft asunder; 1 And when the stars fall, scattering, 2 when the seas are made to burst forth, 3 And the sepulchres are overturned, 4 every human being will [at last] comprehend, what he has sent ahead and what he has held back [in this world]. 5 O man! What has deceived you about your generous Lord 6 Him Who created thee. Fashioned thee in due proportion, and gave thee a just bias; 7 He moulded you into whatever shape He willed. 8 Even then you deny the Judgement. 9 Lo! there are above you guardians, 10 Honourablel scribes. 11 They know what you do. 12 The pious will surely be in heaven, 13 and the wicked shall be in the Blazing Fire. 14 which they will enter on the Day of Judgment 15 and then shall never come out of it. 16 And what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? 17 Again, what do you know – of what sort is the Day of Justice! 18 It is the Day when no soul can do a thing for another soul. That Day, the command belongs to Allah. 19
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
