Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the heaven is cleft asunder, 1 And when the stars fall, scattering, 2 And when the seas are flowed out, 3 and the graves are turned inside out, 4 Every soul will come to know what it has sent ahead and what it left behind. 5 O man, what seduced you from your munificent Lord 6 Who created you, shaped you, and made you well-proportioned, 7 In whatever shape He will He could surely have fashioned you. 8 Nay, [O men,] but you [are lured away from God whenever you are tempted to] give the lie to [God's] Judgment! 9 And most surely there are keepers over you 10 Generous and recording, 11 aware of whatever you do! 12 As for the Righteous, they will be in bliss; 13 And most surely the wicked are in burning fire, 14 which they shall enter on the Day of Judgement, 15 and from it they shall never be absent. 16 Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! 17 Again, what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 18 A day when no soul shall possess aught to succour another soul; that day the Command shall belong unto God. 19
