Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the sky is cleft asunder; 1 the stars are dispersed, 2 And when the seas are erupted 3 And when the Graves are turned upside down;- 4 (Then) a person will know what he has sent forward and (what he has) left behind (of good or bad deeds). 5 O MAN! What is it that lures thee away from thy bountiful Sustainer, 6 who created you, formed you and proportioned you? 7 Into whatsoever form He will, He casteth thee. 8 Nay! But ye do reject Right and Judgment! 9 And yet, verily, there are ever-watchful forces over you, 10 noble, recording, 11 who know of all that you do. 12 The pious will surely be in heaven, 13 But the wicked, indeed they shall be in the Fiery Furnace, 14 Roasted they shall be therein on the Day of Requital. 15 nor shall they ever be absent from it. 16 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Doom? 17 Again, what could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 18 On that day, no soul will be of any benefit to any other soul. On that day, all affairs will be in the hands of God. 19

كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
