Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ When the Sky is cleft asunder; 1 And when the stars become dispersed, 2 when the oceans are gushed forth, 3 And the sepulchres are overturned, 4 (Then) shall each soul know what it hath sent forward and (what it hath) kept back. 5 O mankind, what has deceived you concerning your Lord, the Generous, 6 Who created you, proportioned you, and balanced you? 7 Into whatever form He pleased He constituted you. 8 Not at all – but rather you deny the establishment of Justice. 9 Surely there are guardians over you, 10 Honorable recorders, 11 Who know what you do. 12 Verily the pious shall be in Delight. 13 And verily the ungodly shall be in a Scorch. 14 They will burn in it on the Day of Judgement, 15 And they shall by no means be absent from it. 16 And what will make you realize what the day of judgment is? 17 Again would that you only knew how terrible it really is! 18 (It will be) the Day when no person shall have power (to do) anything for another, and the Decision, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19
