Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the heaven shall be cleft, 1 And when the stars fall down. 2 when the oceans are gushed forth, 3 And when the graves are turned upside down (and they bring out their contents) 4 Every soul shall know what it has sent before and held back. 5 O man! what has beguiled you from your Lord, the Gracious one, 6 Who created thee, then fashioned, then proportioned thee? 7 In whatsoever form He listed He constructed thee. 8 No! But you deny the Recompense. 9 Surely, there are guardians watching over you, 10 The honourable recorders. 11 They know what you do. 12 Surely the pious shall be in bliss, 13 and the evil-doers will be in hell 14 Which they will enter on the Day of Judgment, 15 And thence they shall not be allowed to be absent. 16 They will never be able to escape from it. Would that you knew what the Day of Judgment is! 17 Again, what shall teach thee what is the Day of Doom? 18 A day when no soul shall possess aught to succour another soul; that day the Command shall belong unto God. 19
