The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By heaven of the constellations, 1 by the Promised Day, 2 by the Witness and the witnessed, 3 slain were the Men of the Pit, 4 the fire with its fuel, 5 when they were seated over it 6 And to that which they did to the believers were witnesses. 7 And they resented them not except because they believed in Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Praiseworthy, 8 to whom belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and earth. And Allah is the Witness of all things. 9 Verily, as for those who persecute believing men and believing women, and thereafter do not repent, hell's suffering awaits them: yea, suffering through fire awaits them! 10 Verily, those who believe and do righteous good deeds, for them will be Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise). That is the great success. 11 Lo! the punishment of thy Lord is stern. 12 Indeed, it is He who originates [creation] and repeats. 13 And He is the Fogiving, the Loving, 14 The Lord of the Glorious Throne, 15 Effecter of what He intends. 16 Have you not heard about the stories of the armies 17 Of the Fir'awn and the Thamud? 18 The unbelievers are indeed engaged in denying it, calling it a lie, 19 But Allah doth encompass them from behind! 20 Nay, but it is a glorious Koran, 21 (Inscribed) in Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz (The Preserved Tablet)! 22
