The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
I CALL TO witness the sky (bespangled) with the signs of the Zodiac, 1 By the Promised Day! 2 By the witness and the witnessed! 3 Cursed were the people of the ditch (the story of the Boy and the King). 4 the fire with its fuel, 5 while they themselves sat around it 6 And they witnessed (all) that they were doing against the Believers. 7 They had no other reason for hating them except that they believed in God the mighty, worthy of praise, 8 to whom belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth. God is witness over all things. 9 Those who persecute the believing men and believing women, and then do not repent, will surely suffer the punishment of Hell, and the torment of burning. 10 Indeed those who believed and did good deeds – for them are Gardens beneath which rivers flow; this is the great success. 11 Verily the grip of thine Lord is severe. 12 He it is Who creates for the first time and He it is Who will create again, 13 And He only is the Oft Forgiving, the Beloved of His bondmen. 14 Honorable Owner of the Throne, 15 and the Most Effective in His decision. 16 Has not there come to you the story of the hosts, 17 Of the Fir'awn and the Thamud? 18 Nay! The disbelievers (persisted) in denying (Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) and his Message of Islamic Monotheism). 19 But God surrounds them from all sides. 20 In fact it (what they deny) is the Noble Qur’an. 21 Inscribed in a tablet preserved. 22
