Now, behold, this [divine writ] has indeed been bestowed from on high by the Sustainer of all the worlds: 192 Which the trustworthy Ruh [Jibrael (Gabriel)] has brought down; 193 To thy heart and mind, that thou mayest admonish. 194 In plain Arabic speech. 195 Truly it is in the Scriptures of the ancients. 196 Is it not evidence enough for them that [so many] learned men from among the children of Israel have recognized this [as true]? 197 And if We had revealed it unto one of any other nation than the Arabs, 198 and had he recited it unto them [in his own tongue,] they would not have believed in it. 199 Even so We have caused it to enter into the hearts of the sinners, 200 They will not believe in it until they see the painful punishment. 201 And it shall come to them all of a sudden, while they shall not perceive; 202 and then they will say: 'Shall we be respited' 203 Do they want to hasten Our punishment? 204 What do you see? If We gave them enjoyment for years, 205 and then what they were promised comes to them, 206 That which they were made to enjoy shall not avail them? 207 Never did We destroy a population, but had its warners - 208 As a reminder; and never have We been unjust. 209 The devils did not bring it down. 210 It would neither suit them nor would they be able (to produce it). 211 Indeed they are debarred from even hearing it. 212 So call not thou unto another god along with Allah, lest thou be of the doomed. 213 And warn [whomever thou canst reach, beginning with] thy kinsfolk, 214 Lower thy wing to those who follow thee, being believers; 215 And if they disobey you, then say, "Indeed, I am disassociated from what you are doing." 216 And rely on the Mighty, the Merciful, 217 who sees you when you stand 218 And your movements among those who fall prostrate (along with you to Allah in the five compulsory congregational prayers). 219 He is All-Hearing, All-Knowing. 220 Shall I inform you (of him) upon whom the Shaitans descend? 221 They descend upon every calumniator, sinner. 222 The satans try to listen to the heavens but many of them are liars. 223 And the Poets,- It is those straying in Evil, who follow them: 224 hast thou not seen how they wander in every valley 225 And that they say that which they do not? 226 Except those [poets] who believe and do righteous deeds and remember Allah often and defend [the Muslims] after they were wronged. And those who have wronged are going to know to what [kind of] return they will be returned. 227
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
