The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
22 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Sun (Al-Shams) before The Fig (Al-Teen)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
CONSIDER the sky full of great constellations, 1 by the Promised Day, 2 By the witness and the witnessed! 3 The companions of the pit were killed 4 with fire abounding in fuel, 5 As they sat around it 6 And they themselves are witnesses to what they were doing to the Muslims! 7 whom they hate for no other reason than that they believe in God, the Almighty, the One to whom all praise is due, 8 Him, Whose is the dominion of heavens and the earth. And Allah is over everything a Witness. 9 Indeed those who troubled the Muslim men and Muslim women, and then did not repent – for them is the punishment of hell, and for them is the punishment of fire. 10 As for those who believed and acted righteously, theirs shall be Gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great triumph. 11 Verily, (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) the Grip (Punishment) of your Lord is severe. 12 Verily He! He it is who beginneth and repeateth it. 13 He is the All-forgiving, the Most Loving One, 14 Lord of the Throne of Glory, 15 Effecter of what He intends. 16 Has the story reached you of the hosts, 17 of Pharaoh and of Thamood? 18 In fact, the disbelievers had always rejected (Our revelations). 19 Allah encompasses them all from behind. 20 But this is an honored Qur'an 21 (Preserved) on the guarded tablet. 22
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
