In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the heaven of the constellations! 1 And by the Day promised, 2 And by the Day witnessing and the Day witnessed, 3 slain were the Men of the Pit, 4 Of the fuel-fed fire, 5 When they sat by it, 6 witnessing what they were doing. 7 whom they hated for no other reason than that they believed in God, the Almighty, the Praiseworthy, 8 To Him only belongs the kingship of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is a Witness over all things. 9 Those who persecute (or draw into temptation) the Believers, men and women, and do not turn in repentance, will have the Penalty of Hell: They will have the Penalty of the Burning Fire. 10 As for the righteously striving believers, they will live in Paradise wherein streams flow. This is the greatest triumph. 11 VERILY, thy Sustainer's grip is exceedingly strong! 12 Indeed, it is He who originates [creation] and repeats. 13 And He is the Forgiving, and the Loving. 14 Lord of the Throne of Glory, 15 The great doer of what He will. 16 Has the story of the hordes 17 of Pharaoh and of Thamood? 18 But those who disbelieve are engaged in denial. 19 While Allah encompasses them from behind. 20 Nay, but it is a glorious Koran, 21 In a guarded tablet. 22

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
