The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the heavens with constellations, 1 And by the Promised Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection); 2 by the witness and the witnessed, 3 Cursed were the companions of the trench 4 the fire with its fuel, 5 when they were seated around it 6 And were themselves the witnesses of what they did to the believers. 7 They had no other reason for hating them except that they believed in God the mighty, worthy of praise, 8 [and] to whom the dominion of the heavens and the earth belongs. But God is witness unto everything! 9 Those who persecute the believing men and women without repenting will suffer the torment of hell and that of the burning fire. 10 [But,] verily, they who attain to faith and do righteous deeds shall [in the life to come] have gardens through which running waters flow - that triumph most great! 11 Indeed, the seizing of your Lord is severe. 12 It is He who creates all things and causes them to return. 13 And He is Oft-Forgiving, full of love (towards the pious who are real true believers of Islamic Monotheism), 14 Master of the Honourable Throne. 15 Doer (without let) of all that He intends. 16 Did the story of the armies reach you? 17 of Pharaoh and of Thamood? 18 And yet, they who are bent on denying the truth persist in giving it the lie: 19 And Allah is after them, has them surrounded. 20 Nay, this is a Glorious Qur'an, 21 written on a preserved Tablet. 22
