The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the heavens with constellations, 1 and [then bethink thyself of] the promised Day, 2 And the bearer of witness and those against whom the witness is borne. 3 Cursed were the companions of the trench 4 Fire supplied (abundantly) with fuel: 5 When they were sitting near it 6 And they themselves are witnesses to what they were doing to the Muslims! 7 And they did not take vengeance on them for aught except that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Praised, 8 Who, to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth! And Allah is Witness over everything. 9 Surely those who tormented the believing men and the believing women and then did not repent, theirs shall be the chastisement of Hell, and theirs shall be the chastisement of burning. 10 Indeed those who believed and did good deeds – for them are Gardens beneath which rivers flow; this is the great success. 11 Stern indeed is your Lord's punishment. 12 It is He who originates and repeats. 13 And He alone is truly-forgiving, all-embracing in His love, 14 Lord of the Throne of Glory, 15 a sovereign doer of whatever He wills. 16 Have you not heard the story of the hosts 17 of Pharaoh, and of [the tribe of] Thamud? 18 The unbelievers are indeed engaged in denying it, calling it a lie, 19 but all the while God encompasses them [with His knowledge and might] without their being aware of it. 20 What is revealed to you is certainly a glorious Quran 21 (Preserved) on the guarded tablet. 22
