The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the heaven of the constellations! 1 by the promised day, 2 And the witness and the witnessed, 3 slain were the Men of the Pit, 4 Fire supplied (abundantly) with fuel: 5 When they sat by it (fire), 6 fully conscious of what they are doing to the believers, 7 And they did not take vengeance on them for aught except that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Praised, 8 Whose is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is a Witness of all things. 9 Those who persecute the believing men and believing women, and then do not repent, will surely suffer the punishment of Hell, and the torment of burning. 10 Verily, those who believe and do righteous good deeds, for them will be Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise). That is the great success. 11 Verily, (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) the Grip (Punishment) of your Lord is severe. 12 Indeed, it is He who originates [creation] and repeats. 13 and He is the All-forgiving, the All-loving, 14 Lord of the Throne of Glory, 15 a sovereign doer of whatever He wills. 16 Has there reached you the story of the soldiers - 17 the armies of Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 And yet, they who are bent on denying the truth persist in giving it the lie: 19 God encompasses them from all sides. 20 It is indeed a glorious Quran, 21 in a guarded tablet. 22
