The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the heaven adorned with big stars. 1 by the promised day, 2 By one that witnesses, and the subject of the witness;- 3 (Self-)destroyed were the owners of the ditch 4 the fire abounding in fuel, 5 As they sat around it 6 and they were witnesses of what they did to the believers 7 They had nothing against them, except that they believed in Allah, the All-Mighty, Worthy of all Praise! 8 God to whom belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and the earth, and God is Witness over everything. 9 Those who persecuted the believing men and women and never repented, there is for them the punishment of Gehenna (Hell), and for them the punishment of the burning. 10 As for those who believed and acted righteously, theirs shall be Gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great triumph. 11 Indeed, the seizing of your Lord is severe. 12 Behold, it is He who creates [man] in the first instance, and He [it is who] will bring him forth anew. 13 and He is the Forgiving and Loving One. 14 Master of the Honourable Throne. 15 a sovereign doer of whatever He wills. 16 Did the story of the armies reach you? 17 (The armies of) Firaun and the tribe of Thamud. 18 And yet, they who are bent on denying the truth persist in giving it the lie: 19 But Allah doth encompass them from behind! 20 Nay, this is a Glorious Qur'an, 21 (Inscribed) in a Tablet Preserved! 22
