۞ God is He who has subjected to you the sea, that the ships may run on it at His commandment, and that you may seek His bounty; haply so you will be thankful. 12 And He hath subjected for your sake whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth, the whole from Himself. Verily herein are signs unto a people who ponder. 13 Say to those who believe (that) they forgive those who do not fear the days of Allah that He may reward a people for what they earn. 14 He who does what is right does it for his own gain, and he who does evil does so at his own loss, then to your Lord you shall all return. 15 We gave Scriptures, wisdom and prophethood to the Children of Israel, and provided them with good things and favoured them over all other people. 16 And gave them a clear exposition of Our laws. And they did not differ until after knowledge came to them, through mutual jealousies. Verily your Lord will judge between them on the Day of Judgement in what they differed about. 17 We have put you on the right way in the matter (of divine law). So follow it, and do not follow the wishes of those who are ignorant. 18 They will never be sufficient (protection) for you in place of God. The unjust are each other's friends, but God is the guardian of the pious ones. 19 These are the lights of discernment for people and guidance and mercy for those endowed with sure faith. 20 Deem those who commit ill deeds that We shall make them as those who believe and work righteous Works? Equal is their life and their death! How ill they judge! 21
