The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the sky with its constellations, 1 By the promised Day (of Judgment); 2 And [by] the witness and what is witnessed, 3 Cursed be the makers of the pit, 4 Fire supplied (abundantly) with fuel, 5 As they sat around it 6 witnessing what they were doing. 7 whom they hate for no other reason than that they believe in God, the Almighty, the One to whom all praise is due, 8 [and] to whom the dominion of the heavens and the earth belongs. But God is witness unto everything! 9 Those who persecute the believing men and women without repenting will suffer the torment of hell and that of the burning fire. 10 Surely for those who believe and do the right are gardens with rivers running by. That is the greatest success. 11 The grip of your Lord is severe indeed! 12 It is verily He who initiates and repeats. 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Loving, 14 Master of the Honourable Throne. 15 and the Most Effective in His decision. 16 Has the story reached you of the hosts, 17 Of Fir'aun (Pharaoh) and Thamud? 18 And yet, they who are bent on denying the truth persist in giving it the lie: 19 But God surrounds them from all sides. 20 Nay, this is a Glorious Qur'an, 21 in a Guarded Tablet. 22
