Al-Taareq
The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the Sky and the Night-Visitant (therein);- 1 And what could make thee conceive what it is that comes in the night? 2 (It is) the piercing star. 3 No human soul but hath a guardian over it. 4 Let the human being reflect that from what he has been created. 5 He was created from ejaculated water 6 that issues from between the loins and the ribs. 7 Indeed Allah is Able to return him. 8 On the day when hidden things shall be made manifest, 9 (Man) will have no power, and no helper. 10 By the heavens, ever-revolving, 11 And by oath of the earth which flourishes with it. 12 Verily! This (the Quran) is the Word that separates (the truth from falsehood, and commands strict legal laws for mankind to cut the roots of evil). 13 And no trifle. 14 Surely they will make a scheme, 15 and I too am devising a guile. 16 Therefore give them some respite – give them some time. 17
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
