The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the heavens and al-tariq. 1 and what could make you know what it is that comes in the night? 2 It is the piercing star. 3 No human soul but hath a guardian over it. 4 So let man consider of what he was created. 5 He was created from a fluid, ejected, 6 emanating from between the loins and the ribs. 7 Verily, (Allah) is Able to bring him back (to life)! 8 On a Day whereon secrets shall be out. 9 and he shall have no strength, no helper. 10 So I call to witness the rain-producing sky, 11 And the earth splitting (with plants); 12 this is indeed a Decisive Word, 13 It is no pleasantry. 14 Verily they are plotting a plot. 15 and I am cunningly devising. 16 So give a respite to the disbelievers. Deal you gently with them for a while. 17
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
