The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the heaven and the Morning Star 1 And have you understood what the nightly arriver is? 2 It is the piercing star - 3 That over each soul there is a guardian. 4 So let man consider from what he is created. 5 He was created of spurting water 6 issuing from between the loins [of man] and the pelvic arch [of woman]. 7 Surely He is able to bring him back 8 The Day when secrets will be put on trial, 9 Then will (man) have no power, nor any helper. 10 By the heaven which giveth the returning rain, 11 and the replenishing earth, 12 this is indeed a Decisive Word, 13 And it is not a frivolity. 14 They are hatching up a plot, 15 but I too plan against them. 16 So grant the unbelievers a respite: let them alone for a while. 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
