And when the angels said, 'Mary, God has chosen thee, and purified thee; He has chosen thee above all women. 42 O Mary, be devoutly obedient to your Lord and prostrate and bow with those who bow [in prayer]." 43 This is of the announcements relating to the unseen which We reveal to you; and you were not with them when they cast their pens (to decide) which of them should have Marium in his charge, and you were not with them when they contended one with another. 44 (Remember) when the angels said: "O Maryam (Mary)! Verily, Allah gives you the glad tidings of a Word ["Be!" - and he was! i.e. 'Iesa (Jesus) the son of Maryam (Mary)] from Him, his name will be the Messiah 'Iesa (Jesus), the son of Maryam (Mary), held in honour in this world and in the Hereafter, and will be one of those who are near to Allah." 45 And he shall speak unto mankind from the cradle and in maturity; and be one of the righteous. 46 She said: "How can I have a son, O Lord, when no man has touched me?" He said: "That is how God creates what He wills. When He decrees a thing, He says 'Be', and it is. 47 God will instruct him in the Book and in wisdom and in the Torah and in the Gospel. 48 And an apostle unto the children of Israi'l with this message: verily I have come unto you with a sign from your Lord, verily I form for you out of clay as though the likeness of a bird and then I breathe thereunto, and a bird it becometh by Allah's command. And heal the blind from birth and the leprous and quicken the dead by Allah's command. And I declare unto you that which ye have eaten and that which ye have stored in your houses. Verily herein is a sign for you if ye are believers. 49 I (have come to) confirm the truth of the Torah which was sent down before me, and make certain things lawful which have been forbidden until now; and I come to you with a sign from your Lord; so be fearful of God and follow me. 50 Surely, Allah is my Lord and your Lord; so serve Him alone. This is the straight way.' 51 ۞ When Jesus found Unbelief on their part He said: "Who will be My helpers to (the work of) Allah?" Said the disciples: "We are Allah's helpers: We believe in Allah, and do thou bear witness that we are Muslims. 52 Lord, we have believed in what You sent down and followed the Messenger. Write us among Your witnesses' 53 They devised, and Allah devised. And Allah is the Best Devisor. 54
