The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the heaven and the Morning Star 1 And what will make you know what the comer by night is? 2 It is the star that shines with a piercing brightness -- 3 [for] no human being has been left unguarded. 4 Let man consider what he was made of: 5 He is created from a water dripping, 6 issuing from between the loins [of man] and the pelvic arch [of woman]. 7 Surely, He is Able to bring him back, 8 on the Day when all secrets will be laid bare, 9 So man will neither have any strength nor any aide. 10 By heaven of the returning rain, 11 and the earth, bursting forth with plants! 12 That this (Qur'an) is a decisive word 13 it is no merriment. 14 Surely they will make a scheme, 15 But I too am devising a plan. 16 Therefore grant a delay to the Unbelievers: Give respite to them gently (for awhile). 17
Almighty God's Truth.
End of Surah: The Comet (Al-Taareq). Sent down in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
