The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the heaven, and the night-visitor, 1 What could let you know what the nightly comer is! 2 (It is a nightly radiant star). 3 There is no living being but there is a protector over it. 4 So let man look - from what is he created. 5 He was created from spurting fluid, 6 emanating from between the loins and the ribs. 7 Surely He (the Creator) has the power to bring him back (to life). 8 A day when the secrets will be examined. 9 Then he shall have no power nor any helper. 10 By oath of the sky from which comes down the rain. 11 and the replenishing earth, 12 That this (Qur'an) is a decisive word 13 and is not to be taken lightly. 14 Verily they are plotting a plot. 15 But I am planning a plan. 16 So bear with unbelievers with patience, and give them respite for a while. 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
