Say (unto them, O Muhammad): I am only a warner, and there is no Allah save Allah, the One, the Absolute, 65 Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them, all-mighty, all-forgiving." 66 Say: “This is a tiding of tremendous import 67 yet you ignore it. 68 I had no knowledge of the exalted chiefs when they contended: 69 Naught is revealed unto me except that I am a warner manifest. 70 (Remember) when your Lord said to the angels: "Truly, I am going to create man from clay". 71 Then when I have formed him and breathed into him of My spirit, fall down before him prostrate. 72 So all the angels prostrated, every one, without exception. 73 Except Iblis (Satan) he was proud and was one of the disbelievers. 74 Allah said: O Iblis! what preventeth thee from prostrating thyself before that which I have created with both my hands? Becomest thou stiff-necked, or art thou of the exalted ones? 75 He said: "I am better than he. You created me from fire, and him from clay." 76 Allah said: get thee forth therefrom; verily thou art driven away. 77 "And My curse shall be on thee till the Day of Judgment." 78 Said [Iblis]: "Then, O my Sustainer, grant me a respite till the Day when all shall be raised from the dead!" 79 Answered He: "Verily, so [be it:] thou shalt be among those who are granted respite 80 Until the Day of the time appointed. 81 He said: "By Your authority, I will lead them astray, 82 [all] save such of them as are truly Thy servants!" 83 He (Allah) said: 'This is the truth, and I speak the truth: 84 Most certainly will I fill hell with thee and such of them as shall follow thee, all together!" 85 Say: "I do not ask any compensation of you for it, nor am I a specious pretender. 86 “It is not but an advice for the entire world.” 87 And ye will come in time to know the truth thereof. 88
