Al-Taareq
The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the heaven and the Morning Star 1 And what will make you know what the comer by night is? 2 The piercing star! 3 For every soul there is a watcher. 4 So let man consider of what he was created; 5 He was created of a gushing fluid, 6 That issued from between the loins and ribs. 7 Surely (Allah) is able to bring him back (to life)! 8 The day all secrets are examined 9 He will have no strength or helper. 10 By the heaven which giveth the returning rain, 11 And by oath of the earth which flourishes with it. 12 Indeed, the Qur'an is a decisive statement, 13 And no trifle. 14 Lo! they plot a plot (against thee, O Muhammad) 15 and I am cunningly devising. 16 So leave the unbelievers to themselves; respite them awhile. 17
True are the words of God the Almighty.
