Al-Taareq

The Comet (Al-Taareq)

17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

By the Sky and the Night-Visitant (therein);- 1 And what shall teach thee what is the night-star? 2 It is the star that pierces through [life's] darkness: 3 There is no soul but has a protector over it. 4 So let man consider from what he is created. 5 He is created from a drop emitted- 6 That is issued from between the backs and the ribs. 7 Lo! He verily is Able to return him (unto life) 8 On the day when all secrets will be made public, 9 he will have no power, nor anyone to help him. 10 Consider the heavens, ever-revolving, 11 And the earth splitting (with plants); 12 surely it is a decisive word; 13 And it is not amusement. 14 Verily, they are but plotting a plot (against you O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)). 15 And I secretly plan. 16 Therefore give them some respite – give them some time. 17

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
