The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the Sky and the Night-Visitant (therein);- 1 And what will explain to thee what the Night-Visitant is?- 2 It is the shining star -- 3 There is no soul but that it has over it a protector. 4 So let man consider of what he was created. 5 He was created of a gushing fluid, 6 which comes out of the loins and ribs. 7 God has all power to resurrect him. 8 The day all secrets are examined 9 He will have no strength or helper. 10 By the Firmament which returns (in its round), 11 And the earth which splitteth (with the growth of trees and plants) 12 this is indeed a Decisive Word, 13 and is no idle tale. 14 Indeed the disbelievers carry out their evil schemes. 15 And I am planning a scheme. 16 So respite thou the infidels - respite them gently, 17
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Comet (Al-Taareq). Sent down in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
