The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ (Muhammad), glorify the Name of your lord, the Most High, 1 Who createth, then disposeth; 2 Who determines and directs, 3 who brings forth the pastures, 4 Then made it dry and dark. 5 We shall make thee read (O Muhammad) so that thou shalt not forget 6 except what Allah wills, surely, He knows all that is (spoken) aloud and what is hidden. 7 We shall ease you to the easy. 8 Therefore remind (men) in case the reminder profits (them). 9 Admonished is he indeed who feareth, 10 but the wretched will turn away from it. 11 who will roast in the Great Fire, 12 In which he will neither die nor live. 13 He has certainly succeeded who purifies himself 14 And remembers (glorifies) the Name of his Lord (worships none but Allah), and prays (five compulsory prayers and Nawafil additional prayers). 15 Nay, you prefer the life of this world; 16 even though the life hereafter will be better and will last forever. 17 This, indeed, was in the ancient Scrolls, 18 the Scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
