Al-A'alaa
The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Magnify the Name of thy Lord the Most High 1 who created and shaped, 2 And Who has measured (preordainments for each and everything even to be blessed or wretched); then guided (i.e. showed mankind the right as well as wrong paths, and guided the animals to pasture); 3 Who bringeth forth the pasturage, 4 then made it dry dark, flaky stubble, 5 We shall now make you read (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), so you will not forget. 6 save what God wills; surely He knows what is spoken aloud and what is hidden. 7 We shall facilitate for you the Easy Way. 8 So remind them if reminder is profitable: 9 The reminder will be received by him who fears (Allah), 10 But the wretched one will avoid it - 11 He who will be flung to the great Fire 12 where he will neither die nor live. 13 Prosperous is he who purifies himself, 14 remembering his Lord's name and praying. 15 But ye prefer the life of this world, 16 Though the life to come is better and abiding. 17 Most surely this is in the earlier scriptures, 18 The scriptures of Ibrahim and Musa. 19
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
