The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Glorify the name of thy Guardian-Lord Most High, 1 who has created and shaped, 2 Who determines and directs, 3 who brings forth green pasture, 4 then turns it into black stubble. 5 We shall make you to recite (the Quran), so you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) shall not forget (it), 6 Except as Allah wills: For He knoweth what is manifest and what is hidden. 7 And We will make your way smooth to a state of ease. 8 Therefore give admonition in case the admonition profits (the hearer). 9 in mind will keep it he who stands in awe [of God,] 10 but the most wretched shall flout it, 11 He will be cast into the Great Fire. 12 Then he neither dies in it, nor lives. 13 He who purifies himself, 14 and remembers his Sustainer's name, and prays [unto Him]. 15 Nay, you prefer the life of this world; 16 While the hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 This is what is written in the ancient heavenly Books, 18 the scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
