Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

The mutual rivalry for piling up (the good things of this world) diverts you (from the more serious things), 1 Until you visit the graveyards. 2 But you will come to know soon; -- 3 And once again: Nay, in time you will come to understand! 4 No! If you only knew with knowledge of certainty... 5 you would see the fire of Hell. 6 again, you shall most certainly end up seeing it with absolute certainty. 7 Then on that day you shall most certainly be questioned about the boons. 8

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
