The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ (Muhammad), glorify the Name of your lord, the Most High, 1 who created all things and gave them due proportions, 2 And Who has measured (preordainments for each and everything even to be blessed or wretched); then guided (i.e. showed mankind the right as well as wrong paths, and guided the animals to pasture); 3 who brings forth the pastures, 4 Then reduces them to rusty rubbish. 5 We shall teach you (the Quran) and you will not forget it 6 Except what Allah, may will, He knows what is apparent and what is hidden. 7 We shall take you slowly towards ease. 8 Wherefore admonish thou; admonition hath surely profited, 9 in mind will keep it he who stands in awe [of God,] 10 but aloof from it will remain that most hapless wretch 11 who will enter the Great Fire, 12 in which he will neither die nor live therein. 13 He who purifies himself, 14 And recites the name of his Lord and serves with devotion. 15 No; but you prefer the present life, 16 While the hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Verily! This is in the former Scriptures, 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
