The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Magnify the Name of thy Lord the Most High 1 who creates [every thing,] and thereupon forms it in accordance with what it is meant to be, 2 Who determines and directs, 3 It is He who has caused the grass to grow, 4 Then reduces them to rusty rubbish. 5 We shall make you recite so that you will not forget, 6 Unless God may please. He knows the visible and knows what is hidden. 7 and [thus] shall We make easy for thee the path towards [ultimate] ease. 8 So remind, if the reminder should benefit; 9 He who fears [Allah] will be reminded. 10 But the most hapless will flout it, 11 and suffer the heat of the great fire 12 In which he will neither die nor live. 13 He who purified himself shall prosper, 14 And remembereth the name of his Lord, so prayeth, 15 But nay, [O men,] you prefer the life of this world, 16 While the hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 This is surely in the earlier Books, 18 the scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
