The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ (Muhammad), glorify the Name of your lord, the Most High, 1 Who has created (all things) proportionately, 2 And Who has measured (preordainments for each and everything even to be blessed or wretched); then guided (i.e. showed mankind the right as well as wrong paths, and guided the animals to pasture); 3 And Who brings forth herbage, 4 And then makes it dark stubble. 5 We shall make you recite and then you will not forget, 6 except whatever God wills; He knows both what is manifest and what is hidden -- 7 We shall ease you to the easy. 8 Therefore do remind, surely reminding does profit. 9 He who fears will mind, 10 but aloof from it will remain that most hapless wretch 11 Who will burn in the terrible Fire, 12 wherein they will neither live nor die. 13 Prosperous is he who purifies himself, 14 remember the name of the Lord, and pray to Him. 15 Nay, but you prefer the present life; 16 Whereas the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Surely this is in the ancient scrolls, 18 The scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
