The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Exalt the Name of your Lord, the Highest, 1 Who creates, then makes complete, 2 And Who hath disposed and then guided, 3 It is He who has caused the grass to grow, 4 Then maketh it to stubble dusky. 5 We shall make thee read (O Muhammad) so that thou shalt not forget 6 Except what Allah pleases, surely He knows the manifest, and what is hidden. 7 And We shall create the means of ease for you. 8 So render good counsel if good counsel will avail. 9 He who fears (Allah) shall heed it, 10 but the wretched will turn away from it. 11 He who will be flung to the great Fire 12 Then therein he shall neither live nor die. 13 To happiness [in the life to come] will indeed attain he who attains to purity [in this world,] 14 And mentions the name of his Lord and prays. 15 But ye prefer the life of this world, 16 although the life to come is better and more enduring. 17 Indeed, this is in the former scriptures, 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
