Al-A'alaa
The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ Praise the name of thy Lord the Most High, 1 who created and shaped, 2 And Who makes (things) according to a measure, then guides (them to their goal), 3 Who bringeth forth the pasturage, 4 And then doth make it (but) swarthy stubble. 5 We shall make thee read (O Muhammad) so that thou shalt not forget 6 Save that which Allah may will. Verily He knoweth the public and that which is hidden. 7 We shall make all your tasks easy. 8 Remind, if the reminder can be of benefit. 9 He who fears (Allah) shall heed it, 10 but the most wretched shall flout it, 11 even he who shall roast in the Great Fire, 12 Wherein he will neither die (to be in rest) nor live (a good living). 13 Lasting happiness will be for those who purify themselves, 14 And recites the name of his Lord and serves with devotion. 15 Nay (behold), ye prefer the life of this world; 16 although the life to come is better and more enduring. 17 And this is in the Books of the earliest (Revelation),- 18 The Scriptures of Ibrahim (Abraham) and Musa (Moses). 19

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
