The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 who has created and shaped, 2 Who measureth, then guideth; 3 and who brings forth herbage, 4 then made it a blackening wrack. 5 We shall make thee read (O Muhammad) so that thou shalt not forget 6 save what God may will [thee to forget] - for, verily, He [alone] knows all that is open to [man's] perception as well as all that is hidden [from it] 7 We shall ease thee unto the Easing. 8 Therefore advise, if advising is beneficial. 9 and he who fears shall remember, 10 And the most unfortunate one will avoid it, 11 He who shall roast into the Great Fire, 12 Then therein he shall neither live nor die. 13 To happiness [in the life to come] will indeed attain he who attains to purity [in this world,] 14 remembering his Lord's name and praying. 15 Nay, but you prefer the present life; 16 whereas the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 Indeed, this is in the former scriptures, 18 the scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
