The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ Exalt the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who hath created and then proportioned, 2 decreed their destinies, and provided them with guidance. 3 The One Who produced pasture. 4 and then made it into a blackish straw. 5 We shall make thee read (O Muhammad) so that thou shalt not forget 6 save what God may will [thee to forget] - for, verily, He [alone] knows all that is open to [man's] perception as well as all that is hidden [from it] 7 And We will ease you toward ease. 8 Remind, if the reminder can be of benefit. 9 Those who fear will understand. 10 And the most unfortunate one will avoid it, 11 who will enter the Great Fire, 12 Then therein he shall neither live nor die. 13 To happiness [in the life to come] will indeed attain he who attains to purity [in this world,] 14 And remembereth the name of his Lord, so prayeth, 15 But ye prefer the life of this world, 16 Though the life to come is better and abiding. 17 This, indeed, was in the ancient Scrolls, 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
