The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who has created (all things) proportionately, 2 Who determined and guided them, 3 who brought forth the pasturage 4 And then doth make it (but) swarthy stubble. 5 We shall make you recite (the Qur'an) so that you will not forget it, 6 Except what Allah, may will, He knows what is apparent and what is hidden. 7 And We shall ease thy way unto the state of ease. 8 Therefore, keep on preaching as long as it is of benefit. 9 The admonition will be received by those who fear (Allah): 10 But it will be avoided by the wretched, 11 he who [in the life to come] shall have to endure the great fire 12 Neither dying therein nor living. 13 To happiness [in the life to come] will indeed attain he who attains to purity [in this world,] 14 and mentions the Name of his Lord, and prays. 15 But you prefer the present life, 16 although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Surely, this is in the ancient Scrolls, 18 The Scriptures of Ibrahim (Abraham) and Musa (Moses). 19
