Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Have you received the news of the Enveloper? 1 [Some] faces, that Day, will be humbled, 2 Labouring, wearied out, 3 about to enter a glowing fire, 4 They will be given to drink from a boiling spring, 5 no food for them except thorny plants 6 which gives no strength and neither stills hunger. 7 Many a face will be in serenity on that day. 8 well pleased with their striving, 9 In a lofty Paradise. 10 wherein they will not hear any vain talk. 11 Therein will be a flowing spring, 12 and raised couches, 13 well arranged goblets, 14 and cushions ranged, 15 And rich carpets (all) spread out. 16 So do they not see the camel how it has been created? 17 And the heavens, how it was raised high; 18 And the hills, how they are set up? 19 And at the earth, how it is spread out? 20 Admonish thou then; thou art but an admonisher. 21 You are not over them a controller. 22 But whoso is averse and disbelieveth, 23 In which case he will be punished by God with the severest punishment. 24 Verily, to Us will be their return; 25 And Ours their reckoning. 26
God Almighty has spoken the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
