Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Has the news of the overwhelming event reached you? 1 [Some] faces, that Day, will be humbled, 2 labouring, weary, 3 They shall roast into the scalding Fire, 4 and will be made to drink from a boiling spring, 5 They shall have no food except bitter dry thorns 6 Which will neither nourish nor satisfy hunger. 7 Some faces on that Day will be radiant, 8 well-pleased with [the fruit of] their striving, 9 in a garden sublime, 10 Where they hear no idle speech, 11 Therein is a fountain flowing, 12 and raised couches, 13 Goblets set, 14 And cushions lined up 15 And carpets spread around. 16 Then do they not look at the camels - how they are created? 17 how heaven was lifted up, 18 and on the mountains, how they are firmly set up, 19 And the earth: how it was spread out? 20 Remind them, for thou art but a remembrancer, 21 Thou art not one to manage (men's) affairs. 22 But whoever turns back and denies the truth, 23 Allah will punish him with a mighty Punishment, 24 Verily unto Us is their return. 25 Then it will be for Us to call them to account. 26

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
